(1) Overview

This 1700 HC mill is a reversible 6-high cold rolling mill with an annual design capacity of 125,000 tons. HC six-high rolling mill is a new type of rolling mill developed in 1970s. It has the advantages of improving strip shape, reducing strip edge crack and rolling with large reduction. The roll body length is 1250mm, can roll the finished product thickness of 0.16 ~ 1.42mm, rolling width of 700 ~ 1100mm of various extremely thin steel plate, mainly used for hard cold rolled base materials for electroplating tinplate.

This 1700HC mill unit was commissioned in 1989 and discontinued in May 2014.

Work roll diameter: 370 ~ 420mm

Length of roll body: 1250mm for work/middle/support rolls

Drive roll: work roll

Maximum rolling force: 18000KN

Pressure form: hydraulic press up

Coil weight: up to 20 tons

The main equipment consists of: 1 entrance payoff roll, 1 entrance winder, 1 exit winder, 5-roller straightening machine, 6-high roll changing trolley, wrapping device, inlet and outlet stepping beam.
