(1) Overview

The 1700 continuous annealing line (CAL) is a production line independently designed and integrated by WISCO, with an annual designed production capacity of 228,000 tons. The products are mainly medium and low grade non-oriented electrical steel, of which the representative grades are medium grade 50WW470~50WW600, low grade 50WW800~50WW1300 and so on.

The 1700 continuous annealing line was put into hot load test in June 2004 and discontinued in April 2014.

Strip thickness: 0.35-0.65mm

Strip width: 750-1275mm

Coil inner diameter: inlet Ø610mm/ outlet Ø610mm

Outer diameter of steel coil: inlet Ø800mm-Ø2500mm/ outlet Ø800mm-Ø2000mm

Coil weight: inlet max.40t, outlet max.20

Silicon content of strip steel: ≤ 1.5%

Steel decarbonization requirements: carbon content of raw materials ≤50ppm

Carbon content of finished product ≤27ppm

Unit speed:

Entry segment: Maximum 210m/min

Process section: maximum 150m/min

Outlet segment: Maximum 210m/min
