1) The mono block stand is more rigid than the split block stand. the concept of zero convex design is adopted, thus the performance of roll traverse and roll bending is more prominent.
2) The cavity of the stand is plum -like, and the rolling force is decomposed into radioactive force on each section of the stand, which is much smaller than that of 4-high rolling mill with the same specification.
3) The screw down of mono block mill is executed by the combined action of eccentric gears and shafts with backup bearings, the required press down force of hydraulic cylinder is only a thousandth of that required by split block mill.
4) The lateral pressing mechanism compensates roll diameter, the pressing up mechanism regulates pass line elevation, backup rolls support work rolls through 2-layer intermediate rolls, such a roll system has minimal deformation, thus the shape and accuracy is superior to those produced by conventional mills.
5) The working roller has a small diameter, and the reduction of each pass is large, which thus rolls out a thinner strip material.
6) The opening mouth of the mill is small, and the processing of the stand is difficult, so it is more suitable for rolling silicon steel, stainless steel and other high -strength steels.
