The advantages and disadvantages of three polishing methods of stainless steel

There are three commonly used polishing methods for stainless steel: mechanical polishing, chemical polishing, and electrochemical polishing. Each of these three methods has its own advantages and disadvantages.

1. Mechanical polishing

Its advantage is that the complexity of the parts after processing is good, and the brightness is high. The disadvantage is that the labor intensity is high, the pollution is serious, and the complex parts cannot be processed, and the luster cannot be consistent. It is more suitable for simple parts, medium and small products.

2. Chemical polishing

Its advantages are that there are few processing equipment investment, complex pieces can be thrown, fast, high, high efficiency, and good anticorrosive. The disadvantage is that the light is poor, with gas overflow, and requires ventilation equipment. It is difficult to warm. Suitable for processing small batch complex parts and products with low light and brightness in small parts.

3. Electrochemical polishing

Its advantage is that the mirror luster is long, the craftsmanship, less pollution, low cost, and good anticorrosiveness. The disadvantage is that high pollution prevention, large investment in processing equipment, large -scale investment, complex parts need to work and auxiliary electrodes, and a large amount of production also requires cooling facilities. Suitable for mass production, mainly used in high -end products, export products, and tolerance products. Its processing process is stable and the operation is simple.
